What is the A4 size for paper?

The A4 paper is the most used paper format in the world. It is the classic sheet of paper you see being used all around you with the only exception of North America as they use different standards. The A4 poster has a measurement of 210 x 297 mm and is typically used for an extensive range of documents, magazines, letterheads, and many more. As the smallest poster size, it makes for an ideal choice for heavy visuals with minimal text.

When should I use A4 paper for printing?

The A4 poster paper is usually the best medium to let people know of your planned events as it is easy to distribute. You can carry these conveniently along with you in high-traffic areas and hand them over to people with ease. You can also give A4 size posters to your staff members, who work at information desk areas, to hand out as information leaflets to visitors.

Printing resolution for A4

To output an image with the best quality, it’s important to set up the right resolution. A resolution of 210 x 297 mm at 300 ppi (pixels per inch) is perfect for A4. Don’t forget to add bleed! Bleed is essential if you want your printed products to show up as you expected. Add a bleed of 3 mm on all sides of your design. InDesign has an easy tool with which you can add bleed easily.
