Submission specifications for Individual Stickers

Save your files in uneditable, print-ready file formats.

You can download our guides and templates in the template section. Remember to delete the template layers before exporting your design to PDF. If you already have a design, no worries; we accept other file formats, including JPEG, PNG, or EPS. For photographic content, high-resolution JPEGs are recommended, preferably without compression. For graphics or text-based content, we recommend print-ready, vector-based PDFs. For content that is a combination of graphics and photography, we suggest using print-ready PDFs to ensure the best quality.

Use CMYK as the colour mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the colour mode, not RGB. Use colourmode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colourmode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

White will not be printed.

White colors in your design will not be printed. All objects in your design that are white, will have the color of the material on the final result.

Resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 300 dpi.

Keep 4 mm safety margin

During production, there might be a slight cut deviation. To avoid any issues, we recommend the following:

• Add a 5 mm bleed around all edges of your design.
• Keep important elements 4 mm away from the edge or folding lines.
• Avoid using borders or frames on smaller formats like labels or business cards.

For this product, the minimum font size is 6 pt. To avoid any issues, we recommend the following:

• Fonts must be embedded or outlined.
• If your design contains small black text, make sure it is 100 % black (Cyan: 0 Magenta: 0 Yellow: 0 Black: 100).

Note that we don't check spelling or typographical errors.

Check line thickness.

Lines should be at least 0.25 pt. Negative lines should be at least 0.5 pt.

Check your artwork on overprint.

Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint unless you want this effect in your design. You can read more about overprint in our Help Centre.

What is this product exactly? And what can I use it for?

• Stickers are one of our most sold products and are very populair as promotion material. A sticker is comparable to a flyer, the difference is that you can stick it on almost any surface by removing the back part.Some of the stickers have a slit, which means they those are even easier removable from the underlaying layer.

When can I use standard stickers?

• Standard Stickers can be stuck to many surfaces! Apply them on the back of packaging boxes, water bottles or sealing envelopes. Use them as a quick and easy way to promote your brand for any campaign!
  Note: While standard stickers are suitable for most flat surfaces, excess touching/rubbing can cause the print to fade and reduce the lifespan of your sticker. For example, if they are used on a phone or laptop.

Which production techniques do you use?

• For the production of Individual Stickers, we use the following technique(s):
• Digital printing: Uses four colours (CMYK) with toners and inks to print digital files. This option is comparable to a large home printer, and is cheaper than Litho printing for smaller quantities. This is because there are fewer starting costs, fewer components involved, and no ink drying time required.
• 
  Offset Lithography/Litho printing: This technique uses wet ink and aluminium and rubber plates to transfer images and text onto paper sheets, resulting in sharp, vibrant, and consistent prints. While this method may require slightly more setup than digital printing, it's the most cost-effective option for larger print runs.
• 
  Please note that this product is lasercut, which can shrink the foil material slightly and give you a white border on the edge of each sticker.

Which carriers are used for the delivery?

• For the delivery of your Individual Stickers we use multiple carriers. We use our most reliable carriers, which in most cases are UPS or DPD.
  We also use DHL and our own courier service. However, these carriers are only used for certain products (depending on the size, the turnaround and the quantity).

I can't find the glassware I'm looking for. Can I request a quotation?

• If your material type, weight, quantity, size or other specification is not listed, you can request a quotation. It is also possible to request binding in another colour. We will send you our offer within 1 working day. Depending on the complexity, this can take a bit longer.

Are Individual Stickers fit for usage outside?

• Not all types of stickers can be used outside. If you would like to use your stickers outside, we would recommend using 90gsm PVC white or transparent stickers. The lifetime of these stickers is affected by use outside. Other materials can only be used inside.

What materials can I choose from?

• Glossy stickers (90gsm): These stickers are weatherproof and can easily be removed. They're perfect for both indoor and outdoor promotions.
• Transparant Stickers (90gsm): Transparant stickers are perfect for window advertising in shops or cars. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor advertising. NOTE: We cannot print in white on transparent stickers!
• Important note is that the stickers are fully transparent. Also the printed surface of transparent sticker will show a slight transparency. This means it will work perfectly on a bright background. But the print will not show on a the dark background. Would you like a transparent sticker where the print is not transparent, please ask for a quotation.
• Writable stickers: This 73 gsm stickers material is perfectly writable and can also be stamped. The stickers have a matte look and can be used for many purposes! Ideal for labelling as well.

Can transparent stickers be printed with a white design?

• No, transparent stickers can not be printed with a white design. All white parts in the design will be transparent within the design.

Are the stickers delivered on a square sheet format even if I order round shape sticker?

• Our stickers may be delivered on a square sheet format even if the ordered stickers have a round shape. They may also be delivered on a round sheet format.

What are the sizes available for standard stickers?

• We offer 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 95mm 148mm and 210mm for printed standard stickers. These sizes are standard specifically for Helloprint and may differ from company to company.

What are the shapes available for standard stickers?

• The shapes available for standard stickers are round, rectangle and square.

Do all labels have a backside which is easily removable (breaking line)?

• Not all stickers have a breaking line. For production-technical reasons, the breaking line can not be guaranteed for our individual stickers. If you require stickers to have a breaking line, please request a quote.

Can I include a frame or border in my design?

• We strongly advise against including a frame or border in your design, as minor cutting deviation could cause this to appear off-centre once printed.

What is the fastest possible turnaround?

• The fastest possible turnaround varies depending on the specifications you select, and will always be stated at the bottom of the page. To make sure that your order is delivered at the indicated time, it is important that we receive your file with your design for the product by the stated cut-off time. This way, the product can be moved into production promptly.
  Please note: The delivery date shifts a day every time the deadline for submission has passed. This is also the case if the file is rejected by us and corrected artwork isn't submitted before the next cut-off time.
