If you already have a design, no worries; we accept other file formats, including JPEG, PNG, or EPS.

For photographic content, high-resolution JPEGs are recommended, preferably without compression. For graphics or text-based content, we recommend print-ready, vector-based PDFs. For content that is a combination of graphics and photography, we suggest using print-ready PDFs to ensure the best quality.

Add 25mm bleed

To allow leeway for cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 25 mm around all edges of your design. Make sure colours, background pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area so as to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting tolerances. You can submit your file with crop marks and printer's marks.

Keep 50 mm safety margin.

Keep all important text and images at least 50 mm away from the edge of the finished size.

Use CMYK as the colour mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the colour mode, not RGB. Use colourmode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colourmode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

Resolution of at least 150 dpi.

Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 150 dpi.

Keep 4 mm safety margin

For this product, the minimum font size is 12 pt. To avoid any issues, we recommend the following:

Fonts must be embedded or outlined.
If your design contains small black text, make sure it is 100 % black (Cyan: 0 Magenta: 0 Yellow: 0 Black: 100).

Note that we don't check spelling or typographical errors.

Lines should be at least 3 pt.

The lines for stamps should be at least 3 pt.

Use the right values for full colour black.

Please note: The material used for a flag is very absorbent therefore the colour can come out lighter than expected. This is especially the case with black. For rich black please use (Cyan 60, Magenta 40, Yellow 40 & Black 100).

Check your artwork on overprint.

Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint unless you want this effect in your design. You can read more about overprint in our Help Centre.

What is this product exactly? And what can I use it for?

Square beachflags are one of our most-sold products and are very popular as a promotional good. A beachflag is a flag which gets pulled taut across the whole length of the flagpole and can be printed according to your wishes.
This product can be used:

• To sponsor events or sport-locations
• To represent your company's identity or brand
Decorate the entrance of your store or hospitality premises

What is the fastest possible turnaround?

The fastest possible turnaround for Square beachflags is:
3 working days
Please note: Only applicable for products which require your design: To make sure that your order is delivered at the indicated time, it is important that we receive your file with your design for the product, on time (also called cut-off time). This way, the product can be moved into production on time. The deadline is always communicated at the final step when putting your product together and in the box on the right which details your entire order.
The cut-off time for your printed item may vary. This depends on the combination you choose. This has to do with the manufacturing technique and / or the order quantities.
Please note: The product delivery shifts a day every time the deadline for submission has passed. This is also the case if the file is rejected by us and corrected artwork isn't supplied before the next cut-off time.

Which production techniques do you use?

For the production of Square beachflags, we use the following technique(s):
Sublimation: the printing is carried out at a high temperature, thereby the eco-friendly water based ink attaches directly to the material. The ink integrates into the material. The material remains flexible and is waterproof.

Which carriers are used for the delivery?

For the delivery of Square beachflags, we use our most reliable carriers which, in most cases, are UPS or DPD.
We also use DHL and our own courier service. However, these carriers are only used for certain products (depending on the size, the turnaround and the quantity).

The Square beachflags that is chosen in most cases can be selected via our website.
If your material type, weight, quantity, size or other specification is not listed, you can request a quotation. We will send you an offer within 1 working day.
Depending on the complexity, this can take a bit longer.

What materials can I choose from?

Normal Flag Material: These flags are printed on classic flag canvas with a slight glossy look. The high-quality 110gsm canvas.
Longlife: NEW: This flagcanvas has a strong structure and is perforated with tiny holes. The holes make sure the flag can resist stong wind speeds. A longer life is guaranteed.

What is the lifespan of Square beachflags?

The lifespan of the flags is 3 to 4 months while using it intensively. You can expand the lifespan by bringing the flags inside when weather is bad.

What is the difference between the various pedestals and accessories, and how do they work?

Metal ground spike: The metal ground spike is ideal to place your beachflag outside on soft ground, such as soil. The metal ground spike is best suited for smaller beachflags. For larger beachflags we advise to use the parasol base + rotator.
Plastic screw base: The plastic screw base is ideal when you want to place your beachflag on softer ground such as turf or hard snow. For example in sand or on grass. The plastic screw base is also applicable for larger beachflags.
Cross Foot (indoor): The crossfoot is a standard which is very suitable for a flat surface. The metal frame and 4 legs make sure its extra steady. The crossfoot has a size of 85 x 85 cm and is 20cm high.
Cross foot + waterbag: The crossfoot is very suited for a flat surface. The metal frame and waterbag combined result in extra steadiness. The crossfoot has a size of 85 x 85 cm and is 20 cm high.
Parasol base (indoor/outdoor): The parasol base with wheels is the perfect reinforcement for your beachflag. Fill the parasol base with water or sand and it will stand firmly on the ground. The base has a size of 48 x 48 cm and a weight of 1.6 KG (without sand or water).
Parasol base + rotator: If you use your beachflag outside we recommend using this base and rotator. Now your beachflag can spin around in the parasol base. This creates extra attention and exposure!

How are the beachflags being finished?

The beachflags are always finished on the leftside with a tunnel. On the top of the tunnel is an extra solid part so the beachflag itself does not get damaged by the flagpole.
Beachflags made from normal flag material are finished on the left side (opposite side of where the flag tunnel is) with a hem finished with double stitching.
Beachflags made of longlife material are finished on the left side with a lasercutting method. The flag gets cut off and heat sealed together. This means that longlife material does not need hemming and also expands the lifetime of your beachflag.

From which material is the flagpole made?

The flagpoles of a beachflag are made of fiberglass. Other companies use aluminium flagpoles, however fiberglass is the better material because of its robustness and strength.

Untill which wind power level is it advisable to hang up your flags outside?

Our advice is to retrieve your flags inside if gale force 7 is reached. This greatly improves the lifespan of your flags.

How can I set up my Square beachflags in the best way?

For the best set-up of your Square beachflags we recommend pulling your flag as far as possible through the flag tunnel so it's as tightly pulled as possible. This way your flag will not get creased and won't damage easily.

Are the Square beachflags printed single or double sided?

Our flags are printed on one side as standard. This means that your logo is visible as a mirror image on the back. The print-through of our flags is around 95%.

Is it possible to print my flag double-sided?

Our flags are printed single-sided by default. Double sided printing is possible, but we don't recommend it for these flags. The costs are quite high and the life span of the flag quite low. We do have other flags that are double sided, take a look at our shop flags or window flags.

Is it possible to print the tunnel strip in the design colours?

Unfortunately, this is currently not possible.

How do the colours come out in the print?

The colours printed on flag fabrics will never be as sharp as they are on your screen, especially the colour black. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
