The type of file you need to upload for this product, depends on the number of colours you would like to print the product with. When you choose to print your product with 1 to 12 solid colours or you choose for embroidery, then we need a Vector-file to ensure the print quality. When you choose to print your product in Full colour, then we need a Pixel file to ensure the print quality. Not sure if you have a Vector or Pixel file? Or do you want to know how to create it? Please read our Pixels vs. Vector article.
When you choose to print a product with 1, 2, 3 or 4 colours (Screen printing or Embroidery), the design must be supplied with PMS Solid colours. If you choose for a full colour print, then your file should be supplied in CMYK. You can find out here more about the different colour modes.
The lines for stamps should be at least 3 pt.
Font should be at least 20pt.
Save your files in uneditable, print-ready file formats (PDF (1.4 or higher), TIFF, EPS, JPG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer.
Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint unless you want this effect in your design. You can read more about overprint in our Help Centre.

Providing unrivalled quality is important to you, your customer, and to us here at Helloprint. We provide garments from leading clothing brands and aim to deliver consistent and superior quality.
We aim to ensure that your favourite brand is always in stock. However, in the event that a specific garment is not in stock and has no estimated replenishment date, our partners will fulfil the order with a Helloprint preapproved garment to minimise delays. The substitute garment will be as close in design and quality to the original.
If you are looking for a specific brand in the list of brands mentioned, please contact us and request a quote.
Our standard print method is DTG which is Direct to Garment printing. This is similar to digital printing on paper and is ideal for printing on-demand cotton. DTG offers printing for lower quantities while keeping prices economical, which is not available when screen printing.
Embroidery is the process in which a pattern or logo stitched onto fabric. Most often, embroidery is used to display business names or logos onto apparel for uniform purposes.
Screen printing is great for a higher quantity of custom print in terms of cost and quality of the print, however, vinyl is cheaper in lower quantity and can give full colour which screen printing cannot.
DTG printing is used to achieve photo quality prints and can have extensive colour options. The number of colours does not affect the pricing. There is also no minimum quantity necessary, which makes it suitable for small batches. DTG printing goes up to 50 pieces, then changes to the screen print method for larger amounts.
Screen printing is useful for large quantities of prints. Screen printing is relatively expensive to start, but the time and cost to print is much lower than with DTG.
Embroidery is a long-lasting option that will not fade in the wash. Embroidery is most often used to stitch logos onto uniforms and clothing that are designed to be long-lasting.
The print position depends on the type of garment. We can print on the Chest, Chest & Back, Front Large, Back Large, Front Large & Back Large on most of our apparel items.
DTG printing is best suited for 100% cotton garments. This is because the natural fibres react better with the water based ink in DTG printers. The higher the cotton content, the more opaque the print.
Heather colours and cotton polyester blends have a textured look and blend two materials together. As polyester is a synthetic material that repels water (often used in sportswear), it naturally doesn’t mix with DTG’s water-based ink very well. Therefore, prints on cotton polyester blends tend not to have the same level of opacity as prints on 100% cotton garments.
Most hoodies and sweatshirts are blended with some level of polyester, even if they are solid colours, to achieve some sweat-wicking properties. Many customers who value the textured appearances of heather colours more than print opacity opt for these cotton/polyester blends.
Triblends are made from a blend of cotton, polyester, and rayon. Rayon is a synthetic fibre that doesn't work with the water-based DTG ink. Rayon, however, is lightweight and improves the fit of a garment. Triblends also have a specific faded/vintage outcome with DTG printing.
To summarise, for the most opaque printing results, we recommend that you go with 100% cotton garments. But, if you're looking for a specific heather colour look or a lower print opacity, cotton blends are an attractive option.
1-4 colours indicates the amount of colours that your logo/design can have. If you choose the one colour option, this means that your logo/design should only contain 1 colour. The same applies to 2, 3 and 4 colour as the name suggests.
If your chosen garment does not state any colour options, the print is automatically full colour print.
It is possible to supply your design files in multiple ways. For the best result, we kindly ask you to please supply your files in vector. If the logo consists of Pantone colours, it should be saved as vector. Vector means that the design isn't made of pixels, but out of lines.
DTG prints last about 20 washes, depending on the material.
Embroidery will last as long as the garment itself if washing instructions are followed.
To make sure your clothing looks better for longer, follow these washing instructions. Also make sure to pay attention to the washing instructions on the care label.
- Wash inside out at a maximum of 30 degrees
- Do not iron on the print
Printing Kids Eco Hoodie is different from printing paper, not a single Kids Eco Hoodie is the same. It can be that there is a small deviation in the position of the print. This is minimal and often not visible when the Kids Eco Hoodie are worn.
