Submission specifications

Add 5 mm bleed.: To allow leeway for cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 5 mm around all edges of your design. Make sure colours, background pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area so as to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting tolerances. You can submit your file with crop marks and printer's marks.
Keep 50 mm safety margin.: Keep all important text and images at least 50 mm away from the edge of the finished size.
Resolution of at least 150 dpi.: Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 150 dpi.
Use CMYK as the colour mode.: Prepare your files using CMYK as the colour mode, not RGB. Use colourmode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colourmode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.
Save your files in uneditable, print-ready file formats.: Save your files in uneditable, print-ready file formats (PDF (1.4 or higher), TIFF, EPS, JPG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer.
Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.: Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.
Fonts should be at least 12 pt.: Fonts should be at least 12 pt.
Check your artwork on overprint.: Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint unless you want this effect in your design. You can read more about overprint in our Help Centre.

Please note: Only applicable for products which require your design: To make sure that your order is delivered at the indicated time, it is important that we receive your file with your design for the product, on time (also called cut-off time). This way, the product can be moved into production on time. The deadline is always communicated at the final step when putting your product together and in the box on the right which details your entire order.
The cut-off time for your printed item may vary. This depends on the combination you choose. This has to do with the manufacturing technique and / or the order quantities.
Please note: The product delivery shifts a day every time the deadline for submission has passed. This is also the case if the file is rejected by us and corrected artwork isn't supplied before the next cut-off time.

Which production techniques do you use?

For the production of Custom Banners, we use the following technique(s):
UV-print: The product is printed with eco-friendly UV ink, which is immediately cured with a UV light. Curing ensures that the wet ink doesn't spread once printed, offering sharper quality prints.

Why do we charge shipping costs?

Delivery costs are charges incurred to cover expenses related to shipping your order(s). These costs vary based on factors such as distance, weight, size, speed, and destination. You will find the specific delivery cost for your product clearly indicated during the ordering process.

Note: Keep in mind that as a standard practice, delivery is free if your order exceeds £30.00. However, certain exclusions apply. Products like custom banners, flags, and panels always incur an additional delivery charge.

Which carriers are used for the delivery?

For the delivery of Custom Banners, we use our most reliable carriers which, in most cases, are UPS or DPD.
We also use DHL and our own courier service. However, these carriers are only used for certain products (depending on the size, the turnaround and the quantity).

What materials can I choose from?

Standard (510 gsm PVC): This is the most popular material for banners. It is sturdy, waterproof and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It is also reusable and fire-retardant.
Wind Proof MESH Canvas: This material is suitable for outdoor locations where there is a lot of wind. Due to the small holes in the fabric, the wind can pass through it.
Note:
- QR codes printed on a mesh banner will not function due to the perforated structure of the fabric.
- The edges can have a slightly different appearance when the canvas hemmed with rings in place.
Blockout (Both sides): Blockout Banners are slightly thicker and unlike other banners, not transparent. Perfect for printing on both sides!
Budget banner (450 gsm PVC sailcloth): This banner is of lower quality. It is for one-time-only use and is used a lot on (themed) parties.

What type of finishing can I choose for my custom size banner?

Trimmed, without rings: The banners will be only be trimmed. This results in not being able to hang your banner up.
Rings in the corner, without hems: With this finishing your banner is trimmed and has rings to hang it up (Note: only possible to hang up banners with a maximum size of 150 x 300cm). The distance from the edge of the banner to the rings is about 15mm.
Rings every 30 cm, without hems: WIth this finishing your banner is trimmed and has rings to hang it up (Note: only possible to hang up banners with a maximum size of 150 x 300cm). More rings result in more possibilities to hang it up!
Rings in the corner, with hems: The edges are hemmed with rings in the corner for extra stability and easy hanging. The rings are placed approximately 15 mm from the edge of the banner and have an internal diameter of 1.20 cm.
Ring every 30 cm, with hems: The edges are hemmed with rings added every 30 cm for extra stability and easy hanging. The rings are placed approximately 15 mm from the edge of the banner and have an internal diameter of 1.20 cm. This is the strongest finishing option.

Can I also buy elastic bands for my banner?

It is also possible to buy elastic bands with your banner. If you have rings in your banner, elastic bands are very useful to hang it up steadily!

What does "B1 Certified" mean when it comes to a material being fire retardant?

The B1 fire retardant certificate certifies that certain materials are "hardly flammable," making them safe for indoor use. Such materials have a low risk of catching fire and do not easily spread flames, providing additional protection against potential hazards.
